Time to Unwind: Elevating Self-Care
Welcome to a journey of self-discovery and relaxation as we explore the art of self-care. Whatever wellness looks and feels like for you, the following article will explore a few elements we focus on, when creating our ME time.
Set the Scene
Creating a space for your self-care begins with selecting somewhere quiet. Consider the impact of soft lighting and soothing elements to allow you to set the perfect relaxation mood. For you this may be a quiet space a home, a walk outside or a relaxing bath. Wherever this may be, try and create something that makes time… just for you.
Choosing the Right Candles
Selecting the right candle is essential. The fragrance not only creates a sense of wellness, but the subtle dance of the flame becomes a focal point, guiding your focus and inviting a sense of purpose. Our Time to Unwind candle, made with Soy Wax and featuring a blend of Lavender & Ylang Ylang, aligns perfectly with the preferences of individuals seeking a holistic approach to wellness.
Bath Luxuries
Extend the tranquil experience by including a bath in your self care ritual… paired with your favourite candle for that extra elevation. The flickering flame will cast a warm glow, allow the calming notes of your candle to transform your bath into a spa-like haven. A bamboo shelf rest will allow you to enjoy special treats such as your favourite beverages, snacks and a good book. Be mindful not to splash water into your candle as this will affect performance and safety.
Journalling
Self-care doesn’t only apply to beauty rituals. Our self-care Sundays include everything from eating, resting, cleaning and even some journaling or reflection. We enjoy the ambiance created by our "Time to Think" Candle as it inspires our thoughts and contributes to a deeper sense of well-being.
A few safety notes;
Relaxation in your self care ritual may lead to falling asleep or being distracted from burning candles. It’s imperative that throughout this process, any lit candles are placed in a safe area, away from children and pets and away from drafts and wind. Whilst we absolutely encourage indulging in self care, we advocate strongly for ensuring your safety whilst doing it.
